Design & Décor Meeting
At the halfway point of your planning process, typically 4-6 months before the day
This is where your wedding starts to come to life visually.
By this point, we’ve already built the foundation together. During your Design & Décor Meeting, we’ll revisit anything that has changed since your First Planning Meeting, then work through the look and feel of your celebration from the moment guests arrive through the end of the reception.
The goal is not for you to arrive with every detail decided. Bring your inspiration, your preferences, and the things you love, and your planner will help turn those ideas into a cohesive design that feels like you.
Before We Meet
A little inspiration is helpful. A complete wedding design is not required.
Design & Décor Meeting Worksheet
Optional Preparation
Use this worksheet to gather ideas and think through the different areas of your wedding. Fill out as much or as little as you’d like before we meet, and we’ll work through the rest together.

Gather Inspiration
Bring photos, Pinterest boards, colors, floral inspiration, stationery, or anything else that helps show us what you’re drawn to.
You don’t need to know exactly how those ideas translate into your venue. That’s what we’ll help you figure out.
Your Venue’s Design & Décor Collection
Browse the pieces available at your venue and save anything that catches your eye.
There’s no need to make final selections ahead of time. Your planner will walk through the collection with you and help determine what works best with your vision, guest count, and overall design.
What we'll design together
Welcome & Arrival
We’ll think through the first impression your guests experience, including your welcome sign, guest book, card and gift area, seating display, and any personal touches you’d like to incorporate.
Ceremony
We’ll design your ceremony space, including the altar area, aisle décor, reserved seating, signage, and any special elements you’d like included.
At this stage, we’re focused on how the space looks and feels. We’ll work through the detailed ceremony logistics as the wedding gets closer.
Cocktail Hour
We’ll talk through the look and flow of cocktail hour, including signage, specialty tables, lounge pieces, décor, and other details you’d like to incorporate.
Reception
This is where many of the pieces begin to come together.
We’ll design your tablescape, centerpieces, sweetheart or head table, dessert display, specialty tables, signage, and other reception details.
We’ll also create your reception floorplan, taking your guest count, dinner service style, venue layout, and priorities into consideration so the space feels beautiful and flows well throughout the evening.
Food & Beverage Check-in
Maybe you’ve attended a tasting, started thinking about signature drinks, changed your mind about dinner service, or have new dietary considerations. We can talk through all of it together.
Your Vendors
We’ll also check in on your vendor team and update anything that has changed since your First Planning Meeting.
This is a great time to talk about how your florist, photographer, DJ, rentals, or other vendors may connect with the design and timeline we’re building.

Come With Ideas, Not Answers
You might know exactly what you want. You might have 47 Pinterest photos that don’t look remotely alike. You might tell us, “We love green and candles. That’s all we’ve got.”
All of those are perfectly good starting points! We’ll help take the things you love and turn them into a design that works beautifully in your venue while still feeling completely your own.
