This place is on my list of Top Venues to have an Event 👍

I attended a wedding here last weekend, and had a great time. It's really a beautiful setting. Here's some of the things I most remember about the place.  

FOOD:  The caterers were truly amazing, but what I most remember were the deep fried deviled eggs served at the end of... read more the night. They were a big hit!

STAFF:  The staff were very professional and courteous, and gave top notch service.

PLACE:  The whole place was gorgeous and totally secluded, surrounded by trees. But I was surprised when the sun went down and it turned into a wonderland of lights. They even had chandeliers lit up in the trees. That was a nice touch.

FEEL:  There are great designs all around the gardens. It didn't have the vintage feel I thought it would. Instead it was sort of balanced on the edge between modern and garden, but in a timeless setting. And like I already said, the change at sunset is pretty amazing.

Overall we had a great time. I'm not a big fan of weddings (what guy is?), but it's a lot better when they get it right, like they did here. read less

GORGEOUS VENUE!!!

What a fairytale this places is. Drove in from Orange County to a wedding on Saturday for my dear friends, only a 40 minute drive! The twinkle lights in the giant trees were spectacular- had things on the menu like Peaches & Cream with Honey served in little... read more glass jars & Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese Squares. The inside of the Historic schoolhouse was spectacular, so clean and well kept. Like stepping into another time! The servers were also very friendly. If your looking for a place for a wedding. This place rocks! It looks like they put a lot of work in the appearance of the place. The staff is also extremely friendly I was able to get information from one of them in regards on who to contact about planning an event there. My husband and I plan on reviewing our vows at this venue. They also have an amazing variety of venders to cater to your every need (found this out upon receiving a tour shortly after our visit) the people who talk it over with you are extremely kind and actually talk discuss what you're wanting as well as take their time with you. Unlike any other venue I've ever been to!! I'll definitely be recommending all my friend and family here. If you've been considering planning a wedding I HIGHLY recommend coming here before you waste your time going anywhere else!!!! LOVE this place. read less

PLANNING- so much fun! They really do think of everything. Since I was the maid of honor I was at all of the planning meetings. Not only was the wedding coordinator extremely knowledgeable and professional, she really put us at ease with the whole planning process. The design meeting was so much fun picking out the tables, chairs, napkin colors (there are so many to choose from!) and other specialty tables. She opted for a mixed of farm tables and round tables and it looked so beautiful on the day of! On the wedding day, the coordinator was on top of everything! I cannot stress enough about how smooth the entire day was! Every brides dream.

THE FOOD- Definitely the best meal I have ever had at a wedding or event. WOW. You can tell they really know what they're doing on the culinary side. The food was that of a 5 star restaurant! The stationed dinner service was really fun!

I don't write many Yelp reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience with Twin Oaks.  After our engagement in July, my fiancé and I were excited to start the planning process and to find the perfect spot.  We are a little older than the average 20 something (the... read more dreaded 30's ahh!) and for that reason had been to our share of weddings throughout the years.  We were adamant about finding a place that could accommodate something that was, well.... just unique.  We didn't want that same old cookie cutter wedding we had seen over and over again... you ladies know what I mean.  If I had to watch one more sand ceremony I thought I may die... Anyways,  we started off very optimistic, visiting about 4-5 venues around the San Diego/LA area.  We even visited a venue in my hometown in Charleston, South Carolina for balance.  We quickly became frustrated with the guidelines, the hidden fees, the overall gimmicky experience.  It seems as though wedding companies will tell you anything to get your business but as we read the fine print (thank god we knew enough from friends to ask the right questions) we were thoroughly disappointed.  It seemed as though we would have to settle for something we sort of liked and would likely be confused through the whole process.  

Enter Twin Oaks, in San Marcos, CA.  WHO KNEW.  We live in Cardiff and had never known it was there!  Come to find out it is part of a larger organization, Trademark Venues, that owns several.  From the second we reached our for information they were amazing.  Quick, personable responses (nothing worse than leaving 3 messages before you get a call back), and the girl I talked to helped me narrow down which venues I should see based on my style.  It was the first time someone had actually taken the time to ask me what I wanted without just throwing pricing at me and it was only the first phone call.  I knew this could finally be it and I couldn't get in fast enough.  

If the phone call was thorough then the meeting that we had post tour was literally perfect.  EXACTLY what we needed.  I actually learned things.  It felt like an actual conversation about OUR wedding, as opposed to a bland presentation on price and rules.  We laughed with our amazing girl, Hayley, the whole time.  She even shared with us her own experiences from planning her own wedding at one of their companies venues, and I cannot tell you how freeing it was to be able to communicate openly about our biggest fears stemming from weddings past and how we could create the fun and less traditional day that we wanted.  She presented us with pricing, and when we communicated with her our interest, though it was getting a little too close to comfort for our budget, she then took extra time to help us find an option and customized package that would work.  This is how it should be every time... other wedding companies/venues/sales people/whoever you are TAKE NOTE!

I haven't even gotten to how gorgeous Twin Oaks is.  It is very clear the second you walk through the twinkly archway entrance that they have full time gardeners and designers working their little hearts out on the regular.  Every corner of this place is immaculate.  I am literally in love and am counting down the days until I can show it off to my favorite people.  My fiancé fell in love with the fact that they have a "cool bar" (lol) and that he has his very own clubhouse to have "beers with the guys" in prior to our nuptials.  

Did I mention we have our own planning team that is included?  An entire team.  Ladies are you reading this? AN ENTIRE TEAM.  We have had two meetings so far, one in which we got to meet at the super chic "design center" on site and basically show one of our amazing planners, Mary, my whole Pinterest board where she then helped me chose napkin colors, tables, chairs, and other decor that fit what I was going for (my poor fiancé was ready for a beer after this one:)).  I feel so well taken care of and all I can think of is the close to 10 weddings I have been in where I was up with the bride until midnight before the big day still trying to arrange details and fold napkins.  On our big day we will have a whole team setting up and overseeing the whole event so I do not have to worry about a thing.  

Ok, I am almost done, but one last thing.  We just had our food tasting, which was basically the best night ever.  They had a magician there.  It was open bar.  I basically ate my birthweight in the most amazing, organic and clean catering that I have ever had at any event I had ever been to.  You know how wedding food can be, so naturally our expectations were low.  We left on cloud nine- icing on the cake of what has already been an amazing experience.  Next month my MOH and I are attending a bridal make up tutorial that they are having that is free for their clients.  They apparently do all kinds of events that you can try out if you are getting married with them.  Longest review EVER. I recently went to my friend's wedding here and had the best time! The venue itself is stunning and every single person on their staff was so lovely. The grounds themselves are so unique, green, and well manicured. Twin Oaks is like a secret garden!

The light coming from behind... read more the beautiful trees made for the most romantic backdrop for their I-do's. During cocktail hour they passed around delicious food while all of the guests mingled by the historic schoolhouse, played games, listened to live music.

I was happily surprised with dinner as well! Honestly, I usually don't care about eating at weddings because I am so busy talking but it was amazing. I had like 3 plates of this squash ravioli dish that I NEED the recipe for!

The staff was so amazing and helpful the whole night. I dropped my fork before I could even ask for another someone was there handing me one. So impressed!

I really enjoyed the indoor/outdoor vibe of the reception as well. You can see the gardens, schoolhouse, and bar (yay!) all from the tent which is perfect at night when the twinkle lights all come on. The tent is also heated so we never got cold. This venue thinks of everything.

I can't say enough good things about this place and how that was one of the best weddings I have ever been to! I am so happy my friends found this place. Thank you Twin Oaks! read less

If your looking for a vintage/rustic/botanical garden feel you have come to the right spot! We stumbled across this venue online and we are so happy we did we fell in love with this place the moment we stepped foot here.

We had our initial meeting with Chloe and let me say she blew our minds! We decided that day of the tour to make this our venue for our big day in January 2019! We booked the venue 7 months before and they still had plenty of dates in 2019 available. They went over every thing we needed to know that day(yes a little overwhelming but don't worry they have it all laid out in papers for you). From that day forward the whole planning process with twin oaks was great! Any time I called and Chloe wasn't free or in anyone there was able to answer my questions.

Fast forward a couple months over this period of time you will have phone chats with your coordinator and then you will have meetings 2 & 3 at the venue to go over all necessary details. Oh not to mention in that time you also get to go on a date night they call it and go try chef Tim's amazing food! and choose your wedding menu which let me tell you the food was amazing!

Fast forward another couple months to rehearsal which is the day before your big day. That was a crucial day for us and checked in all decor!

Day of wedding went off without any issues.

Chloe was right by my side and the groom all day keeping us on schedule and made the day run smooth and was there for anyone who needed her or had any questions. Chloe and her team ran the wedding effortlessly.

We were all sad the night ended but we're so happy everything went so well.

We have heard wonderful things about the entire evening. The garden is so lush and the lightening adds a really special touch. The day of the wedding, Ashley (I believe) helped out in the bridal suite and helped with our photography. Getting around with a large train and veil was made much easier with her help. The bartenders were friendly and thoughtful. Everything was just easy. I used a mixture of my own decor and decor provided and the way the tables were set up was everything I was hoping for. The grounds are so beautiful. From the twinkling lights, to the antique bar, to the gorgeous reception tent, this venue is truly magical.

We got married in early December and it was absolutely beautiful. We continue to get compliments from our guests and told that our wedding is the most beautiful wedding that they have ever been to.
