Southern California gives couples plenty of ways to create a fairytale wedding, from lush garden estates and historic properties to tropical landscapes and Tuscan-inspired courtyards.

At Trademark Venues, our five Southern California wedding venues each offer a different setting for the day you have imagined. You might exchange vows beneath suspended ferns at Ethereal Gardens, beside the waterfalls at Botanica, beneath the trees at Green Gables, in the Piazza at Tivoli, or among the gardens at Twin Oaks. Each property has its own architecture, landscape, and atmosphere, so you can choose the setting that feels most like you.

At our venues, we only host one wedding each day. This ensures you have the privacy and space to enjoy your celebration without having to share the location with any other weddings.

What Makes a Fairytale Wedding Venue in Southern California Unique?

A fairytale wedding venue is a place where the setting does some of the storytelling for you. Trademark Venues brings that feeling to life through private properties, distinctive architecture, mature landscapes, gardens, water features, and outdoor spaces designed to give each part of your wedding day its own sense of place.

Fairytale Wedding Venue: EG

The magic is in the details you notice as you move through the property. Sunlight filtering through mature trees. Fragrant gardens surrounding a ceremony space. Weathered brick and timber adding character to a chapel. Water moving through a garden. Twinkle lights beginning to glow as afternoon turns into evening.

And because each Trademark venue has its own personality, “fairytale” can look very different from one property to the next.

Ethereal Gardens: A Garden Fairytale in Escondido

At Ethereal Gardens, your day unfolds across 40 acres of gardens, orchards, and rolling hills.

Walk beneath the jasmine arbor toward the Brick and Timber Chapel, or exchange vows inside the Woodland Grotto, where more than 200 suspended ferns create a dramatic natural canopy. The Orchard Barn and Starry Night Meadow offer additional ways to experience the property, giving you different scenery for your ceremony, portraits, and celebration.

Photographing a garden venue as the light changes throughout the day is especially beautiful. Ask your photographer to look beyond the obvious ceremony backdrop and capture the smaller details too: the texture of the brick chapel, the layers of greenery, the orchard landscape, and the architectural elements that make the property unmistakably Ethereal Gardens.

Best for: Couples who envision gardens, orchards, natural scenery, and multiple outdoor backdrops.

Botanica: A Tropical Fairytale in Oceanside

At Botanica, the landscape takes center stage.

Fairytale Wedding Venue: B

Spring-fed waterfalls, tranquil ponds, mature greenery, and tropical surroundings create the feeling of stepping into a hidden garden. Ceremony settings such as The Cove, The Tree, and the Tropical Forest each offer a different perspective of the property.

The greenhouse-inspired reception space adds another dimension to the experience, creating an airy setting surrounded by the property’s lush landscape.

For photographs, look for moments where the architecture and natural surroundings meet. Reflections on the water, layers of greenery, and the contrast between glass and foliage can create images that feel very different from a traditional ballroom wedding.

Best for: Couples who want tropical greenery, water features, and a garden setting with a distinctly Southern California feel.

Green Gables: An Enchanted Woodland Wedding

If your idea of a fairytale wedding starts with trees, gardens, and a little bit of history, Green Gables is worth exploring.

This historic San Marcos property combines mature woodland with rose gardens, fountains, statuary, ivy-covered arbors, and thousands of twinkling lights. As the day moves into evening, the property’s lighting changes the atmosphere and adds another layer to the setting.

Before the ceremony, the spacious Bridal Parlor provides a place to get ready, while the Gentlemen’s Speakeasy gives the groom and wedding party their own space.

Fairytale Wedding Venue: GG

You can choose from three ceremony environments: the Natural Forest, Historic House, or Open-Air setting. Between the historic architecture, gardens, forest, and evening lights, there is no shortage of places to photograph throughout the property.

Best for: Couples who want an enchanted woodland setting, historic architecture, gardens, and an especially romantic evening atmosphere.

Tivoli: A Tuscan-Inspired Fairytale in Fallbrook

Your fairytale does not have to look like a forest.

At Tivoli, the inspiration comes from the Italian countryside. The Fallbrook property features Tuscan-inspired architecture, rolling hills, olive and herb groves, and open-air spaces that give the wedding a distinctly European feel.

Piazza Tivoli open air ceremony space with mountain backdrop in Fallbrook California.

We designed Piazza Tivoli to seamlessly marry classic European stone textures with our signature panoramic mountain views.

The Piazza Tivoli is one of the property’s defining spaces, creating a natural gathering place with the feel of an Italian courtyard. Throughout the property, stonework, arches, landscaping, and views of the surrounding hills add to the setting.

Tivoli is particularly well suited to couples who want the atmosphere of a destination wedding without leaving Southern California.

Best for: Couples who picture an Italian-inspired celebration with courtyards, olive groves, European architecture, and countryside views.

Twin Oaks: A Romantic Garden Estate in San Marcos

At Twin Oaks, historic character meets garden romance.

Mature trees, gardens, fountains, and historic details surround the property, creating a setting that feels private without being overly formal. The Turnpost Gazebo provides a classic ceremony location, while the Heart of the Garden offers an outdoor setting for your reception.

There is also plenty to discover beyond the main ceremony and reception spaces. Historic architecture, garden pathways, mature trees, and fountains give the property a sense of depth and make the setting feel different as you move through it.

For couples who want romance without committing to a heavily themed wedding, Twin Oaks lets the character of the property do much of the work.

Best for: Couples who want historic charm, mature gardens, natural beauty, and a more secluded wedding setting.

The Details That Shape Your Wedding Day

Choosing a beautiful setting is only part of planning your wedding. What happens behind the scenes matters, too.

At Trademark Venues, our wedding experiences include a range of services and amenities designed to make planning and celebrating easier. Exact inclusions vary by property and package, so be sure to review the details for the venue you are considering.

Exclusive Wedding-Day Access

We host one wedding per day at our venues, giving you exclusive use of the property for your celebration.

Participating properties currently offer 11.5 hours of wedding-day access, giving you time for getting ready, your ceremony, photographs, reception, and everything in between. Your exact timeline and how those hours are used will depend on your venue and package.

Ten Carrot Catering

Dinner is more than another item on the timeline.

Our Ten Carrot Catering team creates chef-curated menus designed to complement the celebration, with selections ranging from hors d’oeuvres and plated dishes to reception favorites and late-night bites. Current offerings include dishes such as braised short rib, mini Beef Wellington, and Choripán sliders.

Your menu should feel like part of your wedding rather than something that simply happens between the ceremony and dancing.

Curated Décor and Design

Once you have chosen your venue, the décor is where you can begin making the space feel like yours.

Trademark Venues offers a curated décor collection with furniture, centerpieces, candleholders, table details, and other design pieces. Specific inclusions vary by venue and package, with additional décor available depending on your selections.

That means you can build a look that complements the property rather than trying to cover it up.

How to Choose Your Fairytale Wedding Venue

The most beautiful venue is not necessarily the right venue for you.

Start with the setting that makes you feel something.

Want a garden and orchard setting? Explore Ethereal Gardens.

Picture yourself surrounded by trees and twinkle lights? Start with Green Gables.

Dreaming of tropical greenery and waterfalls? Visit Botanica.

Want the feeling of an Italian destination wedding? Put Tivoli on your list.

Looking for historic garden romance? Take a closer look at Twin Oaks.

Then look beyond the first impression.

Consider how your ceremony and reception will flow, where guests will gather, what the property looks like at different times of day, and how much of the setting you can incorporate into your photographs.

Most importantly, allow yourself to experience the venues in person.

See Which Venue Feels Like Yours

You can learn a lot from photographs. You can compare ceremony spaces, look through galleries, and save inspiration for months.

But you cannot quite capture the feeling of walking through a venue for the first time.

That is why we encourage you to tour.

Stand where you might exchange your vows. Walk through the spaces where your guests will gather. Look at the light. Notice the architecture. Imagine the sound of dinner and conversation filling the reception space.

Then ask yourself the simplest question:

Can I picture my wedding here?

When the answer comes easily, you may have found your place.
